Delete a Små Helter account
A parent can delete their account and associated data directly in the app. This page also provides an external route when the app cannot be opened.
Fastest: delete in the app
- Sign in as a parent.
- Open Profile.
- Select Delete account.
- Reconfirm your identity if requested.
- Review the consequences, enter DELETE and confirm.
If normal access is unavailable, select Delete an account you cannot open on the sign-in screen. A child cannot delete the family account; a parent must do this.
If the app cannot be used
Email support@smahelter.no from the address associated with the parent account and use “Delete my Små Helter account” as the subject. Do not send a password, PIN, QR code, access token or photos of children.
We must verify that the request comes from an authorised parent. If you cannot use the account email, explain this without sending secret information; support will arrange a suitable check.
What is deleted
If the family has another parent, the requesting parent’s account, sign-in data, devices, social identities, personal integrations and personal information are deleted. Shared family content managed by the other parent may remain. If there is no other parent, the entire family is deleted, including profiles, chores, progress, rewards, calendar data, sessions, devices and photo evidence.
Processing time and backups
The app freezes the affected account when deletion starts and shows status if cleanup must finish in the background. Protected backups have an operational cleanup target of 14 days, and a separate erasure journal prevents deleted accounts from being restored. Limited information may be retained longer when required by law, a dispute, security needs or documented misuse.
